Dr. Farideh Farzamian is a psychotherapist, registered clinical counsellor and a life coach in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is the founder and director of Healing Talk Counselling, a private and professional counselling, psychotherapy, and coaching services since 2000.
She has over two decades of experience working with individuals, teens, couples, and families in crises situations as well as 14 years experience working with ICBC clients who have been in Motor vehicle accident (MVA) or have lost a loved one in a road accident (grief and loss counselling).
Dr. Farzamian has successfully employed her expertise in public settings, private engagements, and diverse organizational structures to provide trainings in communication skills for individual, professionals and groups. Her academic contributions include as a lecturer and instructor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Education, Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education.
Dr. Farzamian is a facilitator and an emphatic listener who believes that her clients possess the inner strength, and wisdom required to feel empowered and have the capacity for change when given the opportunity, tools, and guidance. Her lifetime of learnings, her extensive education, and the opportunity to work in diverse fields have fostered her most important goal, the ability to help and extend assistance to those in need. Dr. Farzamian cultural understanding derived from global travel, which enables her to approach clients with a unique and sensitive understanding of people across various cultures and belief systems.
